So Eli finds a journal entry from when Clare was dating Jake saying that she wanted to have sex with him thus making them fight. What a pathetic subplot. The people at TeenNick need to have their head examined because Degrassi is not all about relationships and for them to say that EClare is the “best couple” just proves how bad they are at promoting this show. Please Degrassi writers, focus on developing the individual characters rather than teasing us with EClare drama.

Yeah, it seems whomever does the promotions for TeenNick didn’t go to college or something cause they should know that Eclare being the “best couple” is an opinion and not a fact- therefore they shouldn’t state it as a fact.

The writers have done fine with developing Eli and Clare individually and giving them their own issues to deal with in season 12. It’s not their fault TeenNick feels the need to play up Eclare in this promo.

No I fully agree that Eli and Clare have both had great character development for a majority of Season 12, I just want the writers to continue that development rather than cater to the fans by making EClare look too cheesy and generic. Sorry, it just bothers me when every promo for this show has to be relationship-oriented.

With all of the stuff that’s going on in 12C and what we’ve seen in promos I feel like the writers will do things right with Eclare. The issue is when we start paying far too much attention to what the fandom’s saying and how the networks are promoting the show, and it starts warping our perception of what’s actually happening on the show. I don’t think Epitome has any say in how TeenNick produces their promos, even Stephen Stohn has been frustrated with them at times with how they misdirect or flat out give away things.

Oh I also forgot to add that it’s also kind of insulting to the show when putting out a promo using the language they did in this one…it just perpetuates the idea that Degrassi is “The Eclare Show,” but anyone who watches the show regularly knows that isn’t even close to true.

Wish the Degrassi Producers and Epitome actually had a say in the promos the networks make, so they wouldn’t be full of crap or give misdirected info.

I am so over this Eclare shit!!! Like really? I loved them in the beginning but after Eli drove his herse in wall they will never be the same they were before they are different and flat out annoying they need to start focusing on the other characters not just Eli and Clare……..Because they do get alot of plots and stuff. I know others characters get plots but there are too many Eclare ones!! O_o Clare annoys me now ALOT!

can’t they just keep them together and move on? i love eclare and them individually but now its like they are bored and decided to make them those “on again off again” couples. I loved them because they showed real love and connections to me. I agree that they are promoting the fandom and showing it as “the eclare show”

Let me just add, the Degrasssi writers have done a terrific job at developing the characters. TeenNick only makes these promos to mess with us. To say that the writers did not go to ‘college’ is just fueling the hate fire for this couple. Has the new ppart of the season started yet? No. So, why already jump to conclusions. Just a little over a year ago, most fans were hating on the writers because they thought that they were bringing EClare way into the show. That theey weren’t letting the other characters expand and develop. Here is the thing tho; During season 11, you barely got ANYTHING from EClare. Sure, there was tension between Eli & Clare. but not EClare. Please, leave the writers out of this. At the end of the day, you realize that what their clever minds have done was smart, and you can sleep at night with out hating.

Everyone comppains that theres to much focus on eclare and theyre always making up and breaking up but isnt the show supposed to be relatable and isnt there always that 1 couple whose always off again and on again in almost every group of HS friends? And arent they usialy the center of attention?

After watching all these promos it made me wonder if Eli’s bipolar disorder is progressing. Maybe Talia & the paint people are not real, its his delusion and maybe that shower scene is the reality. ?? Just a theory.

W zasadzie to się nie rozstali na dobre tylko na czas aż jemu sie polepszy i ona nie będzie musiała się o niego martwić
